關係美學以空間做為載體,藉由社會性的模型或場域,傳遞現實並與觀者互動聯繫;法籍藝術家 Philippe Parreno 即為當代關係美學之實踐先鋒之一。Parreno 相信場域所乘載的物件超越自身語境,圍繞著各種行為而推進。藝術家將物件串連並消弭單一性意義,透過影像、表演、燈光和聲音等要件,詮釋一場探索時空邊界的另類現實。展覽本身為一件展品,Parreno 打破常規的現實認知、重新建構更多元層次的可能性,邀請觀者共享一場拓展彼此關係的沈浸式體驗。
Background
Relational aesthetics views space as a carrier, conveying reality and interacting with audience via social models or fields. French artist Philippe Parreno is one of the pioneers of contemporary relational aesthetics. He believes that the objects carried by the field transcend its own context and advance by interacting with space. The artist connects objects in series and eliminates the single meaning, to interpret an alternative reality that explores the boundaries of time and space through elements such as images, performances, lighting and sound. The exhibition itself is an artwork. Parreno breaks the conventional perception of reality then reconstructs its possibility, inviting people to expand the relationship in this immersive experience.
設計方案
主視覺擷取作品 "Fraught Times (March)" 的局部特徵,象徵性地透露與聖誕節日的關聯,引起觀者好奇並鼓勵探索創作想法。標題字體 Frutiger 為新建法國戴高樂機場時所製作的字體,顯現其現代簡潔、溫暖親切的個性;文字從不同角度、大小、距離都可被清晰閱讀。Frutiger 從功能性角度選用於海報、空間等處傳達訊息,於排版方式呈現與展品互動的節奏感。在 Philippe Parreno 的這場展覽中,觀者在空間與展品的引導下潛意識互動,讓視覺與感知同步呼吸。
Design
The main visual captures the partial image of the artwork "Fraught Times (March)", symbolically reveals the connection with Christmas Holiday, and arouses the audience's curiosity to speculate the concept behind the exhibition. The primary typeface "Frutiger" is a font made when the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport was newly built in 1975, showing its modern simplicity, warmth and kindness; the text can be clearly read from different angles, sizes and distances. Frutiger presents the rhythm of interaction with exhibits in posters and spaces. In this exhibition audience will subconsciously interact under the guidance of space and exhibits, allowing vision and perception to breathe in sync.
